Not going out is a british sitcom series that is written by comedian Lee Mack. It involves a course of deadpan comedy, (comedy delivery without change in emotion or body language).
Not going out first aired in 2006, and has had 43 episodes in 6 series and since.
Synopsis
Lee, unmotivated and unambitious, is an ice cream driver from Chorley, Lancashire. He lives in a flat with his landlady, Lucy. (Kate in series 1).
He usually lies on the couch and does nothing.
There are 2 main sets. The Apartment, and the pub that is frequently visited by the characters

Lee Mack created, and now writes and stars in not going out. Mack plays Lee, and writes the sitcom.
Lee Mack was born in Southport, 20 miles from where he originates in the sitcom.
